Kähler and Friends Manager Birgit Saabye says: "The weather was definitely on our side. So many spring enthusiasts stopped by for a visit. Karsten Pindstrup showed us how our ceramics can be used with flowers, and he filled our shop with beautiful flower decorations and a wonderful scent of spring. Ceramics and flowers in perfect harmony
M. P. Bruunsgade in downtown Aarhus will be buzzing with spring when Karsten Pindstrup from “Blomsterværkstedet Pindstrup” and store manager Birgit Saabye from Kähler and friends welcomes the spring of 2010.
Karsten Pindstrup will create flower decorations inspired by Kähler’s ceramics and Kähler will introduce the new collection by new and current designers.
Karsten Pindstrup was raised in the forest of Rold Skov and has always been inspired by nature’s diversity and contrasts. Before he opened his own shop, he worked at Erik Buch in Copenhagen for 4 years. The two of them worked together on various large flower decorations. Among other things, they decorated Copenhagen Cathedral for the wedding of the Danish crown prince in 2004.
The Kähler and friends shop hosts the event in an ambiance of unity between the ceramics and the natural life of the flowers. The aim is to give guests a sensual experience, which speaks to all senses.
Museum director Cecilia Ning Hagen currently exhibits Kähler ceramic at the Museum of Odense (Denmark).
The exhibition is showing till 5th April 2010

Kähler is passionate about innovative and timeless design, but also about corporate social responsibility. This is why Kähler donated 100,000 Danish kroner to Danmarksindsamlingen, the national collection organized by the Danish Broadcast Corporation (DR), which collected money for women in Africa and the earthquake victims of Haiti. In return, Kähler’s customers will get the chance to experience the radio programs Mads & Monopolet and Musikquizzen live in the Kähler and friends shop in Aarhus later this year.
